Welcome to the Biddeford Community Fridge!

A community-owned fridge, freezer, and pantry where neighbors can share what they can and take what they need—24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Feeding Biddeford, together.

Located at The Reach, the Biddeford Community Fridge Project is here for everyone. No applications. No income requirements. No explaining yourself. No questions asked. Just neighbors taking care of neighbors.

This Fridge Is For Everyone. And we mean everyone.

We want to change the way people think about needing food. Food isn’t a luxury, and needing a meal doesn’t belong to one particular kind of person. Sometimes the reason is financial. Sometimes it’s a busy season, a new baby, a loss, a demanding work schedule, illness, exhaustion, or any number of things life can bring. Everyone needs to eat—and all of us will need a little help sometimes.

Maybe you’re a single mom who ran from work to pick up the kids, then straight to soccer practice, and suddenly it’s 7:30 and you still haven’t figured out dinner. Grab something from the fridge.

Maybe you’re a recent widow and cooking for one feels overwhelming—or you simply don’t have it in you right now. Get something to eat.

Maybe you work nights and getting to the grocery store this week has been nearly impossible with your schedule. Stop by on your way to work or on your way home.

Maybe your paycheck just isn’t stretching far enough this month. Maybe you’re recovering from an illness or surgery. Maybe you’re a college student who’s over the ramen noodle diet and is craving a meal that tastes like something Mom would make.

Whatever the reason, you don’t have to explain it, and you don’t have to prove that you need the food. If there’s something you can use, take it.This fridge belongs to all of us. Here’s how we can share, care for it, and keep it safe for our neighbors.
